Hammonasset 2012

Hammonasset 2012, on May 13, was a great time with great weather!
Thanks to all who came out and made it a success!

There was a little bit of water on the south end but it was easy to work around.

Willa & Sally Eckersly were there to lift everyone's spirits!

Field 1.1 saw a lot of action. Field 1.1 is for kite fliers who get the point...

The kite store on the Demo Field saw plenty of action.
Thank you to Sky Dogs for their support of this event.

Ray Gruzas came straight from the hospital to the event. Take it easy, Ray! Jack Benas is showing Ray his latest and greatest pictures.

Richard Bromley and Gerry Hyland came and introduced all of us to the newest Member, Terry the Terrier.

Bob & Martha Enright helped us with all our stuff.

Did we really bring all that stuff? Sheesh! That's Dave Olsen in the Sky Dogs orange shirt.

Look really, really close. If you squint just right, that white spot at the top center of the picture is the 8-foot Mickey Mouse Rokkaku kite. It took 500 feet of string between Mickey and the Trilobite to keep Mickey happy and flying. It is a good thing the airport is closed!

Ray Gruzas' new Premier Foil made an appearance. Sure looks good in the sky!

Hey Derek! There are holes in your kite!

Derek & Coda kept kites in the air all day. Some times it was a lot of work!

A good time was had by all. See you at the next one!
